Georgia Paylake Carp Tournaments: Venues, Programs & What to Know Before You Go

Current Georgia evidence demonstrates multiple money horizons and multiple packaging models. Depending on the lake and the night, a documented tournament may involve any of the following — but no Georgia lake in this research uses all of them at once.

Three venues, two ownership groups. Red's Lake and Conyers Cove share ownership; Blasingame Lakes supplies independent-operator evidence. Three venues do not equal three independent operators, and this page does not pretend they do.

Red's documented 2026 Summer Series ran 14 weeks on five-biggest standings, with one carp or buffalo logged per tournament, a partner-based format, and the top 15 teams advancing to a championship in September 2026. Blasingame's 2026 evidence references a 12-week series.

Georgia is not padded. Every venue below is held out of the primary section for a stated reason.

Red's shows a timed-money / mixed program that changes by night. Blasingame shows a top-N, included-jug, target-threshold, series program. Conyers shows optional-jug packaging. Only dimensions supported by current evidence are compared.

The payout tells you what matters. The strategy should follow the money.

Georgia's evidence shows three different ways the same words can be packaged. A word on a flyer is not enough information; an angler needs the packaging state.

Red's current public schedules list draw times for every tournament, which places position selection squarely inside the Georgia tournament environment. The program determines what matters. The draw determines available water. The position determines access and the neighbor environment. The plan has to fit both — the draw does not decide the winner.

Understand the program → understand the position → understand the pressure → choose the plan.

The Georgia evidence above shows the money arriving in packages — a base program plus Jug and side-money components that are not automatically the same from event to event. What you bought decides which fish are worth chasing.

Draw

The lake's process for assigning positions before an event. Red's current schedules list draw times; the exact draw method is still a venue question.

Peg / Position

The fishing position an angler ends up with; boundaries and water access are lake-specific.

Set

Georgia program shorthand for the tournament entry package ("$60 set"). What a set includes changes by event — confirm it.

Every 20

Timed money paid on a 20-minute cycle in documented Red's programs. Qualifying-fish and reset rules must be confirmed.

Slots

A term documented in Red's 2026 programs ("$50 Slots", "24 $100 Slots"). Current Georgia sources do not define the exact mechanic; High Stakes Carp does not invent one.

Jugs

Target-money family. Whether jugs are included or sold separately, the targets, cost, reset, tie and stacking rules all vary — Conyers currently sells jugs as an add-on.

Floater Jugs / Floaters

Jug-family target money listed in Red's documented programs. Exact targets and movement/reset rules are event-specific.

3 Biggest

A top-N structure paying on an angler's three biggest qualifying fish across the session. Documented as included at some events and optional at others.

5 Biggest

A top-N structure on five biggest qualifying fish; also used for series standings in the documented 2026 Red's series.

Closest to 15 Without Going Over

Target-threshold money: the fish nearest 15 lbs without exceeding it wins, so size class beats maximum size.

Porch

Side-money terminology documented in Red's programs as an optional add-on ("optional $20 Porch", "optional $30 Porch 5 Biggest"). Treat it as side-money family; the exact payout is event-specific.

Big Fish

A biggest-fish money component. Documented as optional at Blasingame; inclusion elsewhere must be confirmed.

Series

A multi-week standing (14-week at Red's, 12-week at Blasingame in 2026) that gives a fish value beyond one night.

Fourth Pole / Fourth Reel

An additional-rod option beyond the base allowance. Conyers lists an optional fourth reel for an extra charge; Blasingame snippets use fourth-pole language.

Current Georgia law provides a fishing-license exemption for a private-pond owner, the owner's immediate family, and tenants fishing with the owner's consent. Other anglers generally need a fishing license unless another statutory exception applies.

Georgia also provides a separate catch-out pond licensing structure. Anglers at a properly licensed catch-out pond may fish without obtaining an individual fishing or trout license. High Stakes Carp has not verified which specific Georgia paylakes currently hold that license, and this page does not claim any venue's status.
